Charles Raine, Jr, Diabetologist

The Diabetes Control Center is a medical practice focused on diabetes and thyroid problems. Charles H. Raine, Jr, M.D. has been engrossed in the treatment of diabetes and thyroid issues for more than 20 years. We believe the serious complications of these endocrine problems can be slowed or even prevented by applying time tested scientific tactics. Dr. Raine is a former adjunct professor of Medicine, Endocrine Division, Medical University of South Carolina.

 WE DO NOT PROVIDE PRIMARY CARE!!

All patients must have a primary care arrangement. Our focus is limited to diabetes, thyroid and associated problems. You will need a practitioner to focus on your general health needs, e.g. immunizations, female/male well-being requirements, colds, pain etc.

We do not admit to or consult on patients in the hospital. A progress note will be sent to your PRIMARY CARE OR FAMILY PHYSICIAN after each visit to the Diabetes Control Center.

 

APPOINTMENTS. Appointments are made as close to your requests as our schedule permits. We will attempt to remind you of an appointment with an automated call to the phone number you provide. It is your responsibility to remember the time/date of and keep your appointments.

 

MISSED APPOINTMENTS. Missed appoints are costly. A charge will occur if you miss an appointment or fail to cancel 24 hours before the scheduled time.

 

WHAT TO BRING. Picture ID. All insurance and drug cards. Your glucose meter (at every visit). Insurance Co-pay. All medicines currently taking. Any Medical records you have.

 

WHAT NOT TO BRING. Do not bring small children to the Center. They cannot be left unattended in waiting areas.

 

WHAT TO WEAR. Clothing that is easily removed. A jump suit is ideal. Shoes and socks that are easily removed. Ladies, please to not wear panty hose.
